V Games | Let the games begin

We’re talking time crunching, heart racing and everything functional fitness, as your favourite fitness competition will be returning to Village Gym Ashton on the 7th April.

Get your elite game face on to tackle it alone, do it as a duo or smash it with your team. We've got something for everyone!

Now let’s get to the nitty gritty… these are the exercises to expect on the day. This is a full-body workout that's sure to put your speed, strength and endurance to the test!

SKI ERG

For this one you’re imitating the action of skiing down the Nordic slopes. This upper body cardio machine is super unique, but takes no prisoners.

WALKING LUNGES

These may seem simple, but is sure to tire you out. One foot in front of the other, you can do it. Oh, and make sure you knee reaches the ground or you'll hear the dreaded "no rep!".

PRESS UP'S

One of the classics. A press up looks much easier than it is, targeting muscles in your chest, arms and shoulders. If you can't complete a press up, try it from your knees rather than your feet.

STEP UP'S

Step Up's are like being on the stairway to nowhere, with imaginary shopping bags in each hand... Build your unilateral strength and improve your muscle development! 

ASSAULT BIKE

The faster you pedal, the harder it becomes. The Assault Bike is made for blitzing calories and smashing mental milestones. It's low-impact, super sweaty and perfect for growing full-body strength.

SPEEDFLEX BLADE CLEAN AND OH PRESS

Centered around this slick new kit, the clean and press is a full-body workout. The Blade will add more resistant as you pump...

 

 

FARMER'S WALK

Pffft I could do that, easy. Don't be fooled, this simple walk carrying two kettlebells is a killer on the traps. Your shoulders will be burning with this and the Shoulder to Overhead... 

ROW

More shoulders?! More quads?! A killer cardio classic, the rower is a mind over muscle battle that you'll be glad to see the back of.
